About Me – Sarah Rose, Illustrator & Founder of Paper Cat Club
Hi there! I'm Sarah Rose, the illustrator behind all the cute cat art and stationery you’ll find at Paper Cat Club. I live in sunny Suffolk, nestled in a rural village with my husband Cris, our little boy, our Pom Kuma and our three rescue cats – Poppy, Willow, and Coco – who are my constant inspiration and muses.
You’ll often find me at craft fairs and markets around Norfolk & Suffolk, and sometimes further afield, including Birmingham, London, Nottingham, and Lincoln. I’d love to meet you in person! You can always check the link in the menu to find out where I’ll be next.
From Stationery Design to Cat Prints
Before starting Paper Cat Club, my background was in stationery and giftware design, working with some of the biggest names in licensing, including Sanrio, Pusheen, Tokidoki, and Marvel. These experiences have shaped the style and quality of the products I create today.
In 2022, I made the exciting decision to pursue my passion full-time, leaving my 8-year job to achieve a healthier work-life balance and focus more on my creative journey. This move has allowed me to spend more time with my little boy and be there for school pick-ups and drop-offs.
The Journey to Paper Cat Club
What began as a small Etsy shop selling linoprints during the first lockdown has now blossomed into a vibrant business full of cat-themed stationery, cat prints, and kawaii cat gifts. I initially started my business under the name 'Fox & Fauna', but after much thought, I rebranded to Paper Cat Club in 2023. This name perfectly reflects the look and feel of my shop—cute, colourful, and all about cats!
